Release Notes

A major release, compatible with Silverlight 2.0 and Silverlight 3.0 beta 1 (for the final Silverlight 3.0 version, see version 1.02) :
  • PolygonElement : a custom polygonal shape. The side count is customizable.
  • Knob : a rotative button control (the same one than in Perspective for WPF). Works like a slider, but is more compact and is compatible with multiselection.
  • BeePanel : a custom panel using an hexagonal layout. Children elements are wrapped.
  • BeeGrid : a custom Grid using an hexagonal layout. Children elements use a Row / Column layout system.
  • MenuInfo and PageMenuInfo allow to build a treeview menu using databinding (HierarchicalDataTemplate). For Silverlight 3, there is a NavigationPageMenuInfo compatible with the Silverlight 3 navigation system.
  • ComboFrame and ListFrame controls now save the last page used in application storage.
  • StringFormatConverter : a string formatter for databinding.
  • SignalBinding : a binding class which throws conversion events, and prevents to write converter classes. The same one than in Perspective for WPF.
  • BindingBroker : a class to bind 2 visual elements in Silverlight 2 (element binding is only available in Silverlight 3).
  • MayaEase (Silverlight 3) : a custom easing animation that accelerates and/or decelerates using a maya pyramid-like function.
  • The Compatibility subnamespaces classes can be used in XAML for a better compatibility between the Silverlight Toolkit 2 and Silverlight 3 (some classes having changed of namespace and/or assembly).
Parts of the source code of Perspective are used as examples in my book about Silverlight (in french).

For more information, see these demo or articles : For security reasons, IE may make it impossible to view the content of the downloaded documentation. If you encounter this problem, click the Unblock button in the property tab of the chm file.

The source is not currently available in the Source Code tab, but only in the Sources file.
